We recently were honoured and so excited to be featured on the amazing Green Wedding Shoes for Demi and Patty's wedding at Summergrove Estate. In celebration of this, we thought we would finally post our blog on Demi and Patty's unforgettable day.
The wedding journey began 2 years ago when Patty proposed to Demi surrounded by close friends half way around the world in New York’s Central Park. Since then there has been numerous wedding meetings, bachelorette weekend in Vegas and countless memories that have turned this wedding journey into one epic ride.
As some of you may know the bride happens to be our co-owner and head stylist of Harper Arrow. So needless to say being the head stylist and slightly OCD, she was determined to style her wedding day. Both the ceremony and the reception were styled and designed by Demi. The ceremony took place in a quaint little chapel, with a clear glass back wall showcasing the breathtaking view of the rolling green hinterland, which stretches out to the nearby tranquil ocean. Greenery draped from the pews lining the aisle, which led to a beautifully dyed Moroccan Rug for the happy couple to stand on. Off to the side was the signing table, draped in a Moroccan Wedding Blanket, which traditionally is thought to bring blessings and good luck to a marriage.
Once the couple said I do it was time for the guests to enjoy champagne and canapés in a cocktail style reception on the lawn while the bridal party got their shots. Here lay a selection of colourful rugs and cushions, mixed with chairs and vintage Moroccan Tea Tray tables for guests to mingle amongst. A custom built frame by the bride with their personalised “Mr and Mrs Ware” sign made the perfect backdrop for guests to grab a quick photo in front of.
The reception took place in Summergrove’s picturesque barn featuring exposed beams and large barn doors that open up to a large verandah with the amazing views of the hinterland. Crystals and romantic hues were incorporated in the table decorations and floral installations complemented by the pops of colour throughout the textiles outside. The bridal table boasted a beautiful floral installation above with our Love Chairs serving as the Bride and Groom chairs.
Guests were treated to hours of delicious food, entertaining speeches and of course hits after hits by Felix and his band. So much so that everyone in the barn stopped mid meal when Wonderwall came on to get up and dance. And if you missed you chance getting your photo outside, fear not as there was a neon “Til Death Do Us Party” sign inside to grab one in front of.
Overall it was such an incredible day filled with so many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Not even the rainy weather could dampen this amazing chapter in this Demi and Patty’s epic journey.
